Our Process

The three commitments you as a customer are making….

1

Physical Commitment

You are committing to the physical process of building a home. This is where you get to participate in the actual decision making and design of your future home. This is the most exciting part of the project that you participate in, it’s where you see your dream come to life. This is the “sticks and bricks” of the whole process.

2

Financial Commitment

You are making a large commitment to financing your home. This might not be the most exciting part of the project, but it’s crucial to understand that you are investing into your family’s future. This is not something that you or us take lightly, and we work hard to ensure that you are comfortable with this commitment.

3

Emotional Commitment

Often the most overlooked commitment of building a home, but one that can’t be stressed enough. You are committing to having the bandwidth and stamina to be our partner in building your home. We can’t do our job without your participation through this process. We strive to make this as easy and stress free as possible, so that you can enjoy the exciting journey of building your dream home.

Step-by-step process

From Dream to Doorstep

1

Initial Discovery Call

HCG is contacted by you for a potential project; during this initial phone call we gain an understanding of your project, your timeline, and your general expectations.

2

Site Visit & Consultation

Site visit with you to further discuss the project and provide an opportunity for both sides to meet in person. At this time we can both determine if this could be a good fit to move forward.

3

Review & Rough Estimate

If both sides choose to move forward, we request plans of your project (if you have plans) and we review to provide you with a high level opinion of cost and time for your project.

4

Pre-Construction Agreement

If the high level opinion is in line with your expectations, we can engage in a pre-construction agreement which will allow us to do a deep dive of your plans and work with our trade partners to provide you with a much more detailed and accurate scope of work/cost estimate.

5

Construction Begins

If the scope of work/cost estimate is agreed upon, we move forward with a construction agreement for building your home. This is where the shovels meet the ground and the rewarding experience of building your home becomes a reality.
